Founded in 2008, Department of the Future (DOTF) is a well-established, independent content agency specialising in bespoke and creative video content for education, entertainment and corporate industries. We’re passionate about creating highly engaging stories and effective messaging through careful scripting and visuals. As DOTF run across multiple platforms, we’re looking for animators who have skills in capturing real experiences, demonstrating creativity and initiative when on the field. You must be capable of working in a friendly team environment and able to work to a deadline. It is preferred that you already have basic skills in After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop.


Our internship includes one day a week in our Armadale office near Melbourne, where you will be involved with upcoming projects and video content in a team environment. Experience and benefits you will gain include:

  • Experience in demonstrating creative flexibility and agility to respond to changing priorities and on-field circumstances;
  • The ability to balance creativity with practice; learning systems, protocol and structure only gained through experience with a wide range of corporate organisations and educational institutions;
  • Experience in client expertise, providing services to large and small companies, not for profit organisations and Government agencies;
  • Learning the basics of Premiere Pro and InDesign, building off existing skills.
