We’re currently looking for an DEVOPS ENGINEER. The main focus of this role will be to work with developers and IT to ensure tool and support for version control, ticketing, build systems, software installation, testing infrastructure, code review, devops automation, database, authentication/authorisation, platform stacks, license policy and complex software/Linux faults.

Within Dev Services we are looking for a release engineer to support and enhance the build infrastructure for our Python/C/C++.

Assisting developers with build system setup/migration.
Assisting IT/Operations with application environment setup
Developing and extending existing build infrastructure and tools.
Triage/debug/fix build/runtime problems with in-house and third party software.
Test/deployment/release systems ticketing and version control.
Documentation and training guidance for best development/programming practice.
Key Skills:
Python development experience, C/C++ development experience
Awareness of open source build tools – make, WAF, cmake and version control
At least 2 years Windows/Linux exposure
An eye for detail, with strong problem solving skills
Testing frameworks/continuous integration systems
Ability to understand the entire software delivery chain, overseeing shared services and championing use of new development tools and best practices.
Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
Comfort with with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
Experience with systems and IT operations
BS or equivalent knowledge and experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Engineering or equivalent
Experience with VCS systems (GIT/Perforce prefered)
Automation – puppet/ansible
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
Strong grasp of automation tools
Data management skills
A strong ability to perform under pressure
A strong focus on business outcomes
