Role Overview:
We have a number of Graduate Mathematician/Game Designer opportunities available.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop the skills required to be a games designer,
you will be responsible for developing game concepts from creation to market.
Responsibilities will include:
Learn mathematics of games by doing game variations and specifications.
Learn Aristocrat game library.
Study opposition games.
Support game designers – brochures, PIS, volatility tables.
Check game related documents eg combo sheet, art work etc
Review artwork wording.
Provide input to game concepts.
Experience & Qualifications
Mathematical or Science degree
Ability to program in C
Creative flair
Advanced excel skills
Previous experience in the gaming industry is desirable
Accuracy of checking
Accuracy of maths and specifications
Key Competencies:
Good understanding of mathematical fundamentals of slot machines and other games in
gaming, demonstrated by being able to calculate the mathematical return of existing games.
Ability to contribute to the development of an idea to assist its commercial viability.
Can contribute to brain storming sessions supporting the ideas of others.
Ability to generate an idea with assistance.
Fundamental (base) knowledge of Aristocrat games including successful and unsuccessful
games.
Understand different game types and categories.
Know the type of players and how games are tailored to each demographic
Up to date with the gaming regulation of required game specific markets. Be able to develop and create compliant mathematics.
Ability to read and develop game/software specifications.
Have the knowledge to develop art briefs including the rules, prizes and graphical elements of a game
