Gree is Hiring(Melbourne)

Website GREE Melbourne

Game Development Company

  1. Product Manager

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to manage the development and optimisation of a mobile free-to-play game through all key phases of the product lifecycle! You’ll work with an incredible production team to drive for answers to business questions via hands-on exploration of data. In the world of GREE, it’s about working with Game Designers, Producers and Engineers to create the best gameplay and service experience for our players.

No two days will be the same. Your ability to research and understand customer needs through a wide variety of methodologies will allow you to create and drive features from concept to live. This in turn will be aimed at increasing ARM (acquisition, retention, monetisation). You’ll elevate the game by aggressively monitoring and driving improvements to KPIs whilst helping to manage the release of new features, content, and events.

About you

Our ideal candidate will bring a passion for free-to-play games. We’re all game geeks around here, and find that PMs who love games also make the best games. We’re looking for someone who is analytical, data-driven and enjoys solving problems. It goes without saying that you’ll have a driving curiosity and attention to detail. You’re the type of person who can’t help but try to figure out a problem when you see one (and understand that doing so often requires diving into the details). Technical skills aside, we’re looking an extreme self starter, with the ability to work as a part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

To be considered, you’ll need to demonstrate the following:

  • extensive experience in product management or data-driven business analysis
  • customer focus with a track record of turning customer needs and ideas into live product
  • expert level skills with statistics, writing SQL statements and modeling in Excel
  • excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communications skills.

About us

GREE is a global leader in building top-quality, high engagement free-to-play mobile games. GREE’s annual revenue run rate is over $1 billion, and the Company has a market cap of $1.4 billion with over $800 million available in cash. GREE International, the division leading GREE’s charge into the Western market, was formed in 2011 and rapidly achieved international success, with popular titles such as War of Nations, Knights & Dragons, Modern War and Crime City.

Our studio is a diverse team of talented people who are passionately creating the best mobile games together. And beyond having free lunch, device allowances and a decidedly non-corporate culture, working with a brilliant team of people is the best perk of all.

2. Art Director(Melbourne)

About you

You have extensive experience managing teams of artists within commercial game development environments (bonus points mobile platform experience). You’d consider yourself to be a natural leader with the proven ability to motivate people. You’re comfortable taking accountability and would describe yourself as driven and people-focused with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

To be considered for this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Lead and manage a talented team of artists (animators, concept artists and modellers)
  • Develop and grow teams while driving engagement
  • Roll up your sleeves and demonstrate exceptional artistic talent
  • Foster a culture that breeds communication, creativity and fun.

On top of being a talented art director, it stands to reason you’ll have the following:

  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to solve problems and think outside the box
  • A collaborative, balanced and results driven approach
  • Strong passion for games and building great products.

We’re in the business of fun. Come have some.

With headquarters in San Francisco, GREE International was formed in 2011 and rapidly achieved global success, with popular titles such as War of Nations, Knights & Dragons, Modern War and Crime City. Our Melbourne studio is bright, highly collaborative and boasts awesome views of the city.

You’ll be joining a small and powerful team of talented individuals and industry veterans. We’ve built a culture which is laid-back and fun whilst being passionate and high performing. We’re all game geeks around here and we know your passions because we’re the ones playing alongside you.
