
Support Engineer : Animal Logic
We are seeking a Support Engineer to join our team in Sydney. We need someone who has the knowledge and experience to work with a large range of clients, across different operating systems.
You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s IT systems and networks and providing efficient desktop/laptop support to all business users.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installation and configuration of computer systems
- Diagnosis of hardware and software faults, solving technical and application problems – 1stlevel support
- Setting up and disabling users’ accounts and profiles
- Ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Liaison between the Vancouver and LA facilities, and Sydney IT support teams
- Supporting the overall technical goals in partnership with software, R&D and production groups
- Communicating with the team and other departments for any IT support related issues
- Responsible for sharing all acquired knowledge concerning problem resolutions
- Relocation of IT equipment (moving machine/s, monitors etc).
- Configuration of IP and portable phones
- Generating and maintaining both internal and end user documentation, as required
- Rostered after hours and weekend support
The following skills and experience will be highly regarded:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Support Engineer role or similar
- Experience in Windows packaging
- Exposure to Adobe Creative Cloud and financial systems support
- Experience working within an Entertainment/Media industry is desirable
- Experience working with IP telephone and Video Conferencing systems
- Experience with financial systems, i.e. Great Plains
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field or an equivalent level of competence obtained through experience, education and/or training
- Experience using Linux, Redhat, Windows and Mac OS X systems; Active directory; Microsoft Office 2007/2013 and Thunderbird is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve
- Ability to work within a strong team environment
